The bookshop aims to offer customers a pleasant shopping experience as well as house cultural events. The concrete structure of a former warehouse constituted the main skeleton of the bookshop.
In response to the adjacent industrial neighborhood, the main strategy was to design a sober volume on the outside in contrast with a very colorful interior.
The project is inwardly designed to open up to a central courtyard that can accommodate a café. The courtyard may also act as an arena for cultural events. Natural Daylight piercing through a translucent canopy adds an outdoor feel to the courtyard.
