Les terrasses de Kfertay

Faqra Club, Lebanon

The project is a complex of twenty luxurious villas of two different types, which when coupled give room to a third type. The guiding strategy was based on the picturesque views. The clusters are located on platforms of various heights following the natural topography of the site. The villas are connected through a promenade that wraps around the water fountain allowing the user to move smoothly from one terrace to the other. The terracing, along with the promenade, breaks down the perception of a complex of villas to a landscaped village atmosphere in the mountains. Stacked stone and resin-coated wood are used to fit with the natural context. The program also includes a common recreation area located around a central plaza crowned with a water fountain.
